- Did you know it’s a criminal offence punishable by a fine for a JP who fails to identify a declarant/deponent, as NSW legislation requires?
- Did you know that JPs have a duty of care to ensure their action (or inaction) does not cause a loss to their client? A client successfully sued a JP for $55,000 for breaching their duty of care.
- A JP can only witness a document if NSW legislation authorises it.
